Applying a patch

Applying a patch used to be a complicated affair, but thanks to the author of the the firmware utility from the Fusion Filesystem Reader project, it's now very straightforward. To actually put the patch onto the system you either need to connect the hard disk from the PVR to a computer, or apply the update using the serial port. The basic procedure for applying a patch is as follows:

* The case is secured with five T10 torx bits, and the disk with three torx or standard cross-head screws. All fastenings are factory tightened (i.e. they're extremely tight!) and care should be taken to avoid stripping the heads. Don't try and get away with a screwdriver that isn't a good fit.

Patches

Patches are specific to a particular version of firmware, please ensure that you download the correct version.

FVRT100/145/150 - Prevent automatic scene generation, v1.1 ( for 1.7.8 | 1.7.5 | 1.7.4 )

This patch stops the PVR from displaying the there are new scenes to generate dialogue whenever a new recording appears in the library. A lot of people find this feature annoying and would prefer to have no scenes so that they can use the 30 second skip buttons and add a scene as a resume point if required.

FVRT200 - Prevent automatic scene generation and allow access to the advanced library without scenes,
    v1.0 ( for 0.1.1 )

This patch stops the PVR from displaying the there are new scenes to generate dialogue whenever a new recording appears in the library. It also permits access to the advanced library without scenes being present. For some reason, DigiFusion enforce scene generation by default to use advanced library features.

FVRT400 - Prevent automatic scene generation and allow access to the advanced library without scenes,
    v1.0 ( for 7.5.5 [0.12.0] )

This patch is untested
The same as the FVRT200 patch above but for the FVRT400.
